This zine is about observing contemporary Chinese children under the gaze and control of adults in the Children's Gala Show.

Because Chinese children's childhoods are filled with adults' manipulation and gaze, adults often ignore children's autonomous wishes and feelings as they grow up and instead package children into their own ideal of what they should look like. This phenomenon is revealed in the children's expressions on stage at the Children's Gala Show.

So it aims to interrogate the status quo of contemporary childhood in China under the gaze and control of adults. The adult-children produced in such an environment, in fact, are mere puppets for the adults.
